Plain-English summary
The TTOC decoder does not log your inputs. Occupation, wages, MAGI, filing status, state — never sent to our servers, never written to localStorage, never posted to analytics. Math runs in your browser.
Analytics layer (GA4) sees aggregate buckets only. Verdict bucket, industry bucket, tax year, mode (worker / employer) — never tied to identifying inputs and never tied to a re-identifiable session.
Cookie consent. We use Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics_storage defaults to granted (opt-out); ad_storage defaults to denied (opt-in). You can revoke or modify any time at cookie preferences.
Affiliate links. When you click through to a tax-prep operator (TurboTax / TaxAct / FreeTaxUSA via CJ; H&R Block via Impact), the network sets cookies under their domain — see their privacy policy.
Scope
What we process
Decoder inputs (occupation, wages, MAGI, filing status, state): processed locally in your browser only. Never transmitted.
Aggregate event buckets: verdict bucket (e.g. eligible-full), industry bucket (e.g. hospitality), tax year, mode. No identifying detail.
Standard server / analytics: page URL, referrer, IP-derived approximate region, browser user-agent. Subject to consent v2 above.
